My grandmother, Teddy, was a playwright at Le Petit Théâtre du Vieux Carré, an intimate and historic theater in the heart of New Orleans’ French Quarter.

I grew up watching performances there, never realizing at the time just how profoundly that theater and those early experiences would shape the rest of my life.
